Water Treatment Room

One of our long-standing clients in the beverage sector required a flooring upgrade as part of a recent water treatment room project. The space—an old production area—had a bare concrete surface that needed a safe, hygienic, and durable solution suitable for a wet industrial environment.

Our team at Ascoat transformed the room into a light, clean, and highly functional facility, designed to meet strict hygiene and safety standards.

We began by diamond grinding the existing concrete slab, carefully working in and around permanent fixtures such as tanks and pipework that couldn’t be removed. Drainage elements were bevelled to ensure proper water flow and improve ease of cleaning post-installation.

Once surface preparation was complete, we applied a trowel-grade Hychem Hycrete PU polyurethane system. This high-performance flooring solution was selected for its long-term durability, excellent chemical resistance, and proven performance in harsh beverage production environments. With its non-slip texture for safety in wet areas and its light-grey colour for a bright appearance, this floor is built to perform and look great for years to come.

Ascoat’s expertise in polyurethane flooring systems made it possible to navigate the installation safely and effectively, even within a live production environment. Our team managed all risks related to leak containment and installation access, ensuring minimal disruption to the client’s operations.
