Commercial & Industrial Non Slip Flooring
In many industrial and commercial settings, slips, trips, and falls are some of the most common workplace injuries. But with some consideration of pedestrian safety and the right flooring, many of these can be avoided. As specialists in non-slip and slip-resistant flooring, we have built close working relationships with slip-testing companies to achieve legally compliant outcomes that minimise risk and protect your people.
Safe & Compliant Non-Slip Surfaces
Known as non-slip, slip resistant or anti-slip finishes, commercial and industrial floors almost always require some level of slip resistance, with the primary objective of preventing accidents and injuries. Our non-slip floor coatings meet the relevant Australian Standards for slip resistance recommended by AS4586 and AS4663, making them ideal for pharmaceutical, food & beverage processing, mechanical and warehousing, along with a range of other high-risk industries with specific compliance requirements.
Our epoxy non-slip flooring is:
- Chemical, thermal & impact resistant
- Designed to perform in high-traffic, heavy-duty, and demanding environments
- A superior depth anti-slip aggregate for long-term slip resistance and durability
- Compliant with AS4586 & AS4663
- Easy to clean and maintain
Anti-Slip Epoxy Flooring for Any Facility
Protect Your People and Minimise Risk
When it comes to any workplace, safety should be the number 1 priority, and slip resistant floors can make a significant difference in mitigating risk. However, not just any anti-slip technology will do. Selecting the incorrect flooring or opting for a contractor without the necessary expertise or application techniques can negatively impact the efficacy of the flooring and put people at risk. For non-slip flooring that lasts and safety that endures, contact Ascoat today.

Due to their non-slip surface texture, non-slip floors are naturally harder to keep clean if you don’t change how you clean your floors. Ascoat has vast experience in providing a wide variety of textures that can meet the required slip resistance yet are still as easy as possible to clean. We can work with you to recommend various new cleaning approaches including equipment selection to help with cleaning challenges.
R ratings refer to slip test results conducted by a wet ramp rig, not portable to a physical location. Typically, R rating are used by manufactures of products like tiles, which can be transported to a test lab. P ratings are achieved using a portable pendulum slip tester, which can be set up on almost any area of your facility. P ratings have an advantage in that they provide real world results applicable to your actual environment. Due to the variability of applied epoxy coatings, we prefer to conduct our non-slip conversations referencing P ratings.
Yes, the texture of the floor can be reduced through abrasive traffic and general wear and tear. Even during the course of a normal production day, the accumulation of grime, dirt and other contaminants can reduce the slip resistance of a floor due to the clogging up of the texture with dirt and grime.
