Choose a seamless finish that combines chemical-resistance, decorative elements, and is designed to withstand the daily challenges of aquatic and leisure environments from UV, chlorine exposure, high traffic and moisture. Critically, it must also fulfil the slip resistance criteria dictated by the industry standard AS 4663.
Rapid curing systems based on Methyl Methacrylate (MMA), or Polyaspartic technology are available to address minimising downtime and a rapid return to service.
Ascoat has developed fully compliant AS 4654.1 and AS 4858 coating system that can address any certified waterproofing requirements. The system is a hybrid system utilising an acrylic waterproof membrane layer.
Colours can be almost infinite. However, when choosing a solid colour, Ascoat recommend using either an Australian Standard 2700 colour or other global standard colour like RAL (European Standard) to ensure straightforward colour matching for any future works. Other possible finishes include coloured quartz type finishes or ever popular vinyl flake combinations that can reflect or match the adjoining colour finishes of the facility.
