Decorative resin flooring offers almost limitless colour choice and seamless appearance without any joins or grout lines that are commonly found in tiles or other prefabricated and manufactured flooring options. It can be very cost effective over large commercial areas and can be rapidly installed, minimising down time.
Decorative resin flooring is manually installed. Naturally, there can be minor variations in visual features, including swirls, ripples, air bubbles, etc. Debris or insects may even land on the curing floor which cannot be avoided. Ascoat is known for its quality focus and attention to detail. However, If you are considering decorative resin flooring for your project, you should be prepared to accept reasonable and unavoidable imperfections.
Decorative resin flooring should be cleaned and maintained regularly, just like any other commercial flooring. It greatly reduces wear and tear on the floor if dust, dirt and debris is regularly cleaned off the floor as this would otherwise cause fine scratches and even chips to form. It is highly recommended to apply a wax-based sealer that can be high-speed buffed, stripped and reapplied if necessary to provide a sacrificial wearing layer over the floor.
