A premium finish for a prestige workshop
BMW came to Ascoat with a tired, failing tiled floor at its Mulgrave workshop that required a complete renovation. As a luxury automotive brand, the new floor needed to deliver more than a cosmetic upgrade. It had to withstand the demands of a busy service environment while maintaining a high-quality finish.
Following a detailed consultation and assessment of the facility, our epoxy flooring system was selected for its durability, performance and finish. The result is a robust workshop floor built to handle constant traffic while maintaining BMW’s premium presentation standards.

Our Solution
Robotic demolition, premium installation
We combined specialist robotic demolition with an industry-leading Flowcrete system to completely transform the 780m² workshop floor, creating a durable, high-performance surface suited to a busy automotive environment.
- Robotic demolition with DXR 300 equipment to remove 780m² of tiles and screed
- Over 130m³ of material cleared from the site
- New engineered screed installed as the base for the new system
- Flowcrete Flowshield UV system applied at 2–3mm thickness

The Details That Matter
A complete transformation, delivered fast
The scale of the renovation was significant. Over three days, more than 130m³ of tiles, screed and construction waste were removed from the Mulgrave workshop using DXR 300 robotic demolition equipment, clearing the way for a new engineered base and premium epoxy finish.
The completed Flowcrete system provides enhanced abrasion resistance and UV stability, giving BMW a durable floor designed for the demands of daily workshop use. With the renovation complete, the workshop was handed back to the team and put straight back into service.
