We responded to a request for help from leading prestige car company, BMW, regarding a problematic tiled workshop floor at their Mulgrave facility. The requirement was for a complete renovation of their workshop floor, with new premium flooring to be installed. After thorough consultation and assessment of the facility, our high-quality and durable epoxy flooring was deemed the ideal solution.
Of course, as a luxury brand we knew only the best would do, so we brought out the big guns! DXR 300 robot demolition equipment made light work of the 780m2 of tiles and screed which were removed over a 3 day period, resulting in over 130m3 of material exiting the building.
A new engineered screed was then installed before we took over with an industry-leading workshop floor coating system endorsed by Flowcrete Australia. The 2-3mm Flowshield UV system expertly applied by Ascoat ticked all the boxes; robust, safe, and aesthetically impressive. With its enhanced abrasion resistance and UV stability, BMW will be guaranteed to enjoy years of protection and amenity in their workshop.
The project was delivered on time and to the highest standard, with the team at BMW impressed with the final result and keen to get onto the workshop floor.
